DL LSM-C Air Compressor Energy Efficiency Trainer

Trainer built to simulate the operating conditions of air compressors and study the system's energy efficiency under different conditions and components. The student selects which motor (conventional or high-efficiency) to couple to the load, driven by a frequency converter, soft starter or direct start, controlled by SCADA supervisory software via a PLC and the Modbus/Ethernet protocol. The load system is a two-piston air compressor coupled by pulleys and V-belts, and the air piping simulates pressure-loss through 5 orifices of different diameters, selectable via solenoid valves. Each motor has a PT-100 temperature sensor on its housing and windings. It allows studying motor efficiency from 0 to 120% load and generating characteristic curves of the main devices.
