Temperature, heating time, mounting pressure, cooling time, piston up/down movement and cycle start are all set and controlled from the touchscreen panel. Modern metallography practice now calls for variable heating, cooling and high pressure during mounting to achieve improved results such as high mold hardness and edge retention. The press stores up to 25 preset mounting-parameter programs.
