Compactability tester that measures a molding-sand sample packed into a sample tube: the tube is filled through a tube-filling attachment until it overflows, the excess sand is scraped off, and the tube is placed under the plunger, which presses down on the sand once the start button is pressed in "compactability tester" mode. Within 3 seconds the final compactability percentage (0 to 58%) appears on the LCD display. It logs test data — date, time, cycle number, batch number, supplier/customer, tested by, verified by, acceptance range, test result and test status — for reporting.
